[Tech] A Chinese magical harddrive of 128MB

The 500 GB harddisk which was bought in China was brought to a repair center because it did not work as expected. It looks like a regular Samsung external harddisk:

But on the inside it looks like this, it contains a 128 MB memory stick which is set to loop mode. They made some changes to the controller to represent itself as being 500 GB in size. So next time be warned when buying some Chinese hardware.
